TOASTED-PECAN BLONDIES
MAKES 12 BLONDIES.
1 cup whole pecans
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
8 tbs unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8" square pan. Spread pecans on a baking sheet, bake until toasted 6 min. Transfer pecans to a cutting board, then chop. *In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In a bowl, stir butter and brown sugar until combined. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture, stir until combined. Stir in pecans. *Spread batter in baking pan. Bake until done 24 min. Cool, cut into squares. SERVE & ENJOY...
