VEGGIE RICE DRESSING
MAKES 12 SERVINGS.
1 cup wild rice
6 slices bread
1 pound sausage, casings removed
1 onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
4 oz can mushroom pieces, drained
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
3 cans 10.5 oz each condensed chicken and rice soup
Place rice in a pot, covered with water, soak overnight. Set bread slices out to dry. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Drain rice. Cut bread slices into cubes. *In a skillet, brown sausage. Transfer to a bowl, add onion, celery, mushroom and chestnuts. Add soup and rice, mix. Add bread cubes, mix. Pour mixture into a casserole dish, bake for 1 1/2 hours. SERVE & ENJOY...
