CREAMED SPINACH BURGERS
MAKES 4 SERVINGS. HALF RECIPE FOR 2 SERVINGS.
CREAMED SPINACH---
2 tbs oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, grated
3 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup heavy cream
Pinch nutmeg
Salt and Pepper
16 oz bag frozen chopped spinach, squeezed dry
3/4 cup grated Parmesan
BURGERS---
2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup Worcestershire
1 tbs pepper
Salt
1/2 cup beef stock
4 slices bread, toasted, buttered
French fried onions
In a skillet, heat oil. Add onion, cook until softened. Add garlic, stir 1 min. Add cream cheese until melted. Add cream and nutmeg, season. Add spinach, stir until heated through. Stir in cheese. *In a bowl, combine beef, Worcestershire, pepper and salt. Form 4 patties. Heat a skillet, cook burgers until done. Transfer burgers to a plate. Add stock to skillet, cook until reduced slightly. *Divide toast among 4 plates, top with burgers. Drizzle each burger with sauce, top with creamed spinach and crispy onions. SERVE WITH FRENCH FRIES & ENJOY...SO GOOD...
