HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE WITH 3-VARIETIES
MAKES 2 CUPS.
2 pounds assorted apples, peeled, chopped
2 tbs sugar or Splenda
Lemon juice
Combine apples, sugar, and 1/2 cup water in a pan. Bring to a simmer, cook until apples are soft and most of the liquid has evaporated. Add lemon juice to taste to applesauce, then transfer to a blender, puree. Transfer applesauce to a bowl, refrigerate until cool. SERVE & ENJOY...RASPBERRRY APPLESAUCE---Add 1 cup raspberries while applesauce is still warm, mash slightly. APRICOT APPLESAUCE---Stir in 1/4 cup apricot jam. CRANBERRY SPICE APPLESAUCE---Add 1 tbs brown sugar, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 cup dried cranberries while applesauce is still warm.
