CINNAMON FRENCH-TOAST
MAKES 4 SERVINGS. HALF RECIPE FOR 2.
1/2 loaf sourdough bread
4 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup heavy cream
3 tbs sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tbs unsalted butter
Maple syrup
Cut bread into 8 slices. Whisk eggs and next 5 ingredients in a baking dish. Add bread, turn until soaked through. Heat oven to 250 degrees. Melt 1 tbs butter in a skillet. Add half the bread, dust with powdered sugar, cook until golden. Transfer French toast to a baking sheet, keep warm in oven. Add 1 tbs butter to skillet, repeat with remaining bread. SERVE with maple syrup & ENJOY...
