MASHED TURNIP POTATOES
MAKES 6 SERVINGS.
1 1/2 pounds potatoes, peeled, cubed
1/2 pound turnips, peeled, cubed
1 onion, chopped
3/4 cup buttermilk
4 wedges garlic and herb spreadable cheese
3 tbs butter
1/2 cup chopped green onions
In pot, bring to a boil first 3 ingredients and enough salted water to cover. Cook until potatoes are tender. Drain, return to pot. Add buttermilk, cheese, and butter to potato mixture, mash until desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in green onions. SERVE & ENJOY...
