POPPY-SEED CAKE
MAKES 8 SERVINGS.
Unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup each sour cream, poppy seeds, and oil
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a loaf pan, place pan on a baking sheet. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. In a bowl, whisk together sugar, sour cream, eggs and vanilla, whisk in seeds, then flour mixture. *Fold in oil. Transfer batter to pan. Bake until done 50 min. Cool 5 min. then turn cake out onto rack. SERVE & ENJOY...
