CARAMEL SAUCE---Delicious on ice cream.
MAKES 2 CUPS.
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbs corn syrup
2 tbs unsalted butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Combine cream, corn syrup, butter and salt in a pan. Bring to a simmer, remove from heat. *Sprinkle sugar in a skillet. Cook until sugar melts and starts caramelizing. Continue cooking until caramel is dark amber. *Remove from heat, add warm cream mixture. Return to heat, bring to a simmer, cook until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Cool slightly before SERVING & ENJOY...
