-- I think as givers of the items, if we really want to give those in need, then we have to put ourselves in their shoes. They will never be as fast, efficient, prompt as companies and they have specific needs as their house is small. They may not be able collect whole set of furnitures as they do not have space for them. Sometimes our criteria of picking the fastest responder and request that they pick up everything that are offered within 3 days naturally eliminates those who truly needs it and favours commercial collectors. So are we willing to give up a little convenience just to make sure things go to the right people?
I support the practice of putting email of collectors down , and may I suggest, maybe even the phone number too.
