[SimplifyMe] Root-Beer Glazed {Ham}

 

ROOT-BEER GLAZED HAM
MAKES 16 SERVINGS.

7 pound fully cooked ham
40 whole cloves
1/4 cup each Dijon mustard and brown sugar
2 tbs cider vinegar
Salt and Pepper
12 oz can root beer

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place ham on a rack set in a roasting pan, add 1/3 cup water to pan. Score ham on all sides in a diamond pattern, cutting only 1/4" deep. Press 1 clove in middle of each diamond. Cover ham with foil, bake 2 hours. MAKE THE GLAZE---In a pan, whisk together mustard, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper, add root beer. Simmer until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Brush a third of glaze over ham, bake uncovered 20 min. repeat. Brush remaining glaze over ham, bake until ham is heated through 20 min.
