[SimplifyMe] Bacon Pork (Pops)---w/ Sauce

 

BACON PORK POPS ON LEMONGRASS STICKS            Makes 12 pops.

Sweet chili sauce
Salt and Pepper
1 tsp sugar or Splenda
1 tbs minced cilantro or parsley
1 pound ground pork
4 stalks lemongrass, cut into 12 sticks
2 tbs low sodium soy sauce
1 tsp grated peeled ginger
2 cloves garlic, grated
1/2 pound bacon, minced

Heat broiler. Mix bacon, pork, garlic, cilantro, ginger, sugar and soy sauce in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
-Form meat into 12 balls. Thread a piece of lemongrass halfway through each ball, press meat mixture down the stalk to form a sausage like shape, leaving some of the stalk uncovered for the handle.
-Put pops on a foil lined broiler pan and broil until golden brown. SERVE with sweet chili sauce...
