SAUCY TURKEY PASTA---Yummy, I served it with garlic bread.
MAKES 2 SERVINGS.
1 tbs oil
1 onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp each thyme and oregano
1/2 of a cinnamon stick
Salt and Pepper
3/4 pound ground turkey
2 cups marinara sauce
6 oz linguine pasta
Pinch nutmeg
Chopped basil
Grated Parmesan cheese
Heat oil in a skillet. Add onion, celery and garlic, cook 6 min. Add thyme, oregano, cinnamon, salt and pepper, cook 1 min. Add turkey, cook until no longer pink. *ADD marinara sauce and 1/4 cup water, simmer until mixture is slightly thickened and turkey tender. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta, return it to pot. Discard cinnamon from turkey mixture, stir in nutmeg, toss with pasta. SERVE with basil and Parmesan & ENJOY...
