CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE TART---Delicious and easy to make.
MAKES 8 SERVINGS.
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbs minced gingerroot
1 cup flour
1/2 cup each chopped almonds and powdered sugar
1/3 cup baking cocoa
6 tbs butter, cubed
1/2 cup amaretto
8 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup butter
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a pan, heat cream and ginger until bubbles form. Remove from heat. Place flour, almonds, powdered sugar and cocoa in a blender, pulse until blended. Add butter, pulse until butter is size of peas. Add 1/4 cup amaretto to form moist crumbs. Press onto bottom and up sides of an ungreased tart pan. Bake 16 min. or until set. Cool. *PLACE chocolate in a bowl. Bring gingered cream to a boil. Strain over chocolate, discard ginger. Stir chocolate mixture until smooth, stir in butter and remaining amaretto until blended. Pour into crust. Refrigerate until set. SERVE & ENJOY...
