VEGGIE SOUP
MAKES 7 SERVINGS.
Combine 2 cans 14.5 oz each chicken broth, 2 cups corn, 1 cup half and half, 1/3 cup chopped onion, and 1/3 cup chopped red bell pepper in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Combine 1/4 cup plus 3 tbs flour, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper until smooth, stir into pan. Bring to a boil, cook until thickened. Stir in 1 cup diced cooked ham. Reduce heat, cover simmer until vegetables are tender, then SERVE with crackers or bread if desired...
