Fyi the pokemon ones like pikachu and squirtle are reversible to be raichu

Both white and not exactly in the best condition but not torn or anything and usable if you're not fussy. Quilt from ikea but a little worn out (as in not so fluffy anymore). Can probably find the matching pillowcases as well.

[SimplifyMe] Spicy Mango {Guacamole}

 

SPICY MANGO GUACAMOLE
MAKES 3 CUPS.
 
1 tbs oil
1 jalapeno chile pepper
1 mango, peeled, pitted, diced
1 tbs chopped cilantro
Juice of 1/2 lime
3 tbs minced onion
Salt and Pepper
3 avocados, halved, pitted, peeled
1/2 cup finely diced peeled jicama
Tortilla chips
 
Warm oil in a skillet. Add jalapeno, cook until skin blisters. Let cool, then stem and finely chop. Combine chopped chiles with mango, cilantro, lime juice and onion in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mash avocados in a bowl. Mix in mango chile mixture and jicama. Season with salt and pepper. SERVE with chips...

[SimplifyMe] Vanilla Sprinkles {Cupcakes}

 

VANILLA SPRINKLES CUPCAKES
MAKES 2 DOZEN.
 
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups cake flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup milk
FROSTING---
1 cup unsalted butter
3 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Assorted colors of food coloring
Colored sprinkles
 
In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, beat well. Beat in vanilla. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beat well. Fill paper lined muffin cups. Bake at 350 degrees for 22 min. or until done. Cool in pans 10 min. Remove. FOR FROSTING---In a bowl, beat butter and vanilla until blended. Beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Tint with food colorings. Frost cupcakes. Decorate with sprinkles, then SERVE...

[SimplifyMe] Jumbo Brownie {Cookies}

 

JUMBO BROWNIE COOKIES
MAKES 1 1/2 DOZEN.
 
2 2/3 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 tsp vanilla
2 tsp instant coffee powder
2/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
11 1/2 oz pkg semisweet chocolate chunks
 
In a pan, melt chocolate chips and butter until smooth. Remove from heat, cool slightly. In a bowl, whisk eggs and next 3 ingredients until blended. Whisk into chocolate mixture. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt, add to chocolate mixture, mix well.  Fold in chocolate chunks. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto parchment lined baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 14 min. or until set. Cool on pans 2 min. Remove cookies, then SERVE...

[SimplifyMe] Lentils with {Eggs}

 

LENTILS WITH EGGS
MAKES 4 SERVINGS.
 
3 tbs unsalted butter
1 chopped onion
3 stalks celery, chopped
3 sprigs thyme
Salt and Pepper
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tsp sugar
14 oz can diced fire roasted tomatoes
15 oz can brown lentils
2 tsp Dijon mustard
4 eggs
 
Heat 1 tbs butter in a skillet. Add onion, celery, thyme and 1/2 tsp salt, cook until starting to brown. Add vinegar, 1/4 cup water and sugar, cook until almost evaporated. Add tomatoes, cook 3 min. Add lentils and 1 cup water. Bring to a simmer, cook until lentils are soft. Stir in mustard, cook 5 min. Season with salt and pepper, discard thyme, keep warm. Melt remaining butter in a skillet. Break each egg into a bowl, then slide it into skillet, cook until whites are set. SERVE lentils with a fried egg on top...

[SimplifyMe] Potato Broccoli {Soup}

 

POTATO BROCCOLI SOUP
MAKES 2 SERVINGS.
 
3 cups cubed peeled potatoes
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups broccoli florets
3 tbs flour
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
 
In a pan, combine first 7 ingredients, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer until potatoes are tender. Stir in broccoli, return to a boil. In a bowl, whisk flour and milk until smooth, stir into soup. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat, cool slightly.  Process in a blender until smooth. Return to pan, heat through. Sprinkle servings with cheese, then SERVE...

[cardifffreecycle] Offered: 2 large sturdy boxes with polystyrene chips/packing: Adamsdown

 

I've had a delivery today and have 2 large sturdy boxes. Included with the boxes comes a carrier bag full of polystyrene chips and a fair bit of brown packing paper. They are taking up quite a bit of room and need to go asap. 


Collection has to be either Tuesday ot Thursday morning by midday.
