[SimplifyMe] Double Decker (Burger)---with Special Sauce

 

DOUBLE DECKER BURGER                            Makes 4 servings.

SAUCE---
1 tsp superfine sugar
2 tbs dill pickle relish
1/2 cup sour cream
Salt and Pepper
1 tbs white wine vinegar
1/4 cup ketchup
ONIONS---
1/2 cup beef stock
2 onions, chopped
Salt and Pepper
2 tbs olive oil
BURGERS---
4 hamburger buns, split
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
Coarse salt and coarse pepper
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 pounds ground beef
8 slices Swiss cheese
Olive oil
A handful flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
Sliced bread and butter pickles, sliced tomatoes, chopped lettuce

MAKE SAUCE---Mix sour cream, ketchup, pickle relish, vinegar and sugar. Season with salt and pepper. MAKE ONIONS---In a skillet, heat oil. Add onions, season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned. Stir in stock cook until tender, 15 min.
MAKE BURGERS---Combine beef, Worcestershire, garlic and parsley, season with coarse salt and pepper. Form into 8 patties, drizzle with oil. Top each patty with 1 tbs mustard. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle pan. Add patties mustard side up cook 4 min. Flip cook 2 more min. Top with cheese to melt in last minute of cooking.
STACK 2 patties with some onions between them on each bun bottom. Top with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, special sauce and bun tops, then SERVE with fries or chips if desired...
