Offered for free to whoever can make use of it:
A Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop
This laptop has sat at the back of a cupboard for the past few years. It was working perfectly when I last turned it on, but today it won't seem to boot past the BIOS. So it will need some attention to get it working again! Spec's are as follows:
- Inspiron 6000 model
- Approx 9 years old
- 15" screen
- Pentium M 1.86GHz processor
- 2048Mb DDR2 SRam
- DVD R/RW drive
It includes the original Dell power supply and two batteries (1x standard plus 1x extra capacity), but I'm not sure how healthy the batteries are as they have sat unused for so long.
The laptop has a 250Gb hard drive installed, but since I cannot currently turn the laptop on to check what is on this and wipe any personal data, I will therefore need to remove it from the laptop before giving it away.
If you can provide me with a USB HDD adapter so that I can remove the drive and wipe it from another computer, then I can also include the HDD. It is an older style IDE drive (not modern SATA connection) and I threw away my USB connector thinking that I would never need it again!
I have the Dell Windows XP backup disc which I think should allow you to reinstall the factory WinXP setup on a fresh hard drive.
Please see pictures below for further info.
Pickup from Marine Parade, next to Roxy Hotel, opposite Parkway Parade shopping centre.
Kind regards, James
