I belong to the Sustainable Living Lab (SL2) (http://www.sl2square.org/) which is a social innovation lab that harnesses the energy of the maker movement to build a Sustainable Future. What we do? We work to protect restore the natural environment and create economic activity that is conducive to sustainable human development. In laymans terms, if you can fix it, you can help prolong the life of products instead of adding it to the dump.
I like to share with this group that we run the Repair Kopitiam. So if you feel that you have an item that you do not know its condition and may still be useful with a bit of fixing you can bring it down to RK. With our help you can get it fixed before passing it on.
RK has grown and spread itself across the island to 2 locations, East (Tampines) and West (Jurong)! I would extend an invitation to visit us!
