Dear administrator I'm hoping you can share this with fellow Freecycle members.
I have been using Freecycle for many years and have passed on useful items onto better homes, and a few occasion have been gifted with a few things. However here are some reminders and tips when asking for things.
1. Please check your spam box if you have asked for any item. Replies often end up in them.
2. Some items are very popular and response is overwhelming. I have learned to grant them to whoever need it most rather than first come first serve. Sometimes a personal genuine note that takes a couple more minutes is worth is. Not to appear like a snob, I am often turned off by curt requests such as:
- Collect where?
- I want
- Can have?
- Still have?
However, polite requests will always get my personal reply even if the item has been taken.
Thanks!
