MAPLE PECAN PIE
MAKES 8 SERVINGS.
1 1/4 cups flour
1 stick plus 3 tbs salted butter, cubed
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups pecan halves
2/3 cup maple syrup
1 cup brown sugar or Splenda
1/4 cup bourbon
3 eggs
In food processor, pulse flour, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 stick butter until coarse crumbs form. Pulse in 1 tbs water at a time until dough comes together, shape into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap, chill 30 min. On floured surface, roll out dough into 12" circle. Place in greased 9" pie plate, trim, crimp edges. Sprinkle chocolate and pecans over crust, chill. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In pot, bring last 3 ingredients and remaining butter to a boil. Remove from heat, let cool 15 min. Beat in eggs, pour into crust. Bake 30 min. or until set in center.
