Hi All,
I have a Laptop computer on offer, a HP Pavilion dv2000 with 1gb ram,[Google it for further information do not ask me okay] that is in working order without any hard drive installed.
When I say working order I mean that it will power up, load the version of windows you install and run for about 15 to 20 mins from cold then it freezes and has to be turned off and rebooted to do the same in shorter time periods.
I have checked this out on the internet and it would appear that the fault is with the onboard graphics, which uses the CPU cooling system as well as the CPU and the graphics chip just gets too hot and the cooling unit can not keep it cool so the cpu and graphics over heat and freeze the computer. I have tried a new cooling unit upgraded and also a cooling plate under the laptop with 3 fans running to keep it cool but it still happens.
It is FOP for someone that knows what they are doing with it so please let me know what you want it for and what you know about repairing said items, otherwise I will sell it for spare parts.
