I'm new here too. Widowed young, and have been caring for my disabled son and Mother for, what seems like forever. Son has left home, and sadly, Mom passed away. So now it's me time. Am 90% through a major de clutter and redecorating splurge. On hold for now as I get the garden sorted and planted up. Veg are planted out, greenhouse up and running. Thoughts are turning to adding a splash of much needed colour out there.
Suppose I'm what you'd call a crafter as I quilt, embroider, knit, crochet. Anything really as I love being creative. Enjoy taking my two dogs for long walks and spotting the wild life and plants as the seasons progress.
I'm in the UK and live on the edge of a rapidly growing village.

I have just joined the group. Can't wait for messages to come pouring in! Any tips, advice, help about anything gratefully received. I have just started growing my own vegetables: you would think I could have started earlier in life. I am 74, divorced and ecstatically happy with my lot but feel I should use my brain more, find out interesting facts and fill my time. I was born in what was Ceylon and I still work and I adore it. Fit as a fiddle. So lucky. I live in West Yorkshire, UK.
