It is also the cure for our national debt crisis....tax the stuff the same way they tax gas, cigarettes, and booze, income tax and small business expenses to the dealers....
Should have all the books cleared up in a couple of years, courts in six months and a lot of jails emptied in what a year.
No need to keep chasing the little fishes...and the police can go after the nasty people that do a lot more harm.
Really the decriminalization/legalization of only pot could do this. It would also allow hemp to be grown as a commercial crop with all the benefits and without the need of a multimillion dollar permit and license to do it...

15 months for an attempted murder trial to get to court cause they're too busy with simple possession charges. One sex offender was let loose cause he waited too long to get to trial cause they're bogged down with all the petty stuff.
