Almost embarrassed to list these but I've had creative freecyclers who like fix-up projects take broken stuff before, so just giving these items a shot at a second life before they are put in recycling bin.
Measuring tape that got yanked out of the retract casing.
Old plastic trash bin that could be scrubbed down and repainted or plastic dyed for outdoor use perhaps.
Steam iron that overheated and melted itself such that the water seeps out from its tank and short circuits.
Europace vacuum cleaner that decided to give up the ghost today. Has all the accoutrements in relatively good condition.
