Folks, I'm sending this for the second time.
Please register at http://my.freecycle.org - to the lady who wrote in saying she couldn't find the url in the email, it's actually stated quite clearly on its own line after the first paragraph in the quoted section below... :-)
So what happens after you sign up? Start using the new group. This group WILL be retired in the coming weeks. Why? Because the owners of the Freecycle trademark require that we move to the new site. If we do NOT move to the new site, we must cease and desist from the use of the Freecycle trademark or face prosecution for trademark violation. We COULD continue under a different name but...why? If the new platform can provide what's needed, great.

We are very pleased to announce that Singapore Freecycle will be moving to My Freecycle.org very shortly. You don't have to wait until the group moves before you can register as a member, so we suggest you register for the new group now for the smoothest possible transaction between the groups. Your membership cannot be transferred to the new account until you have performed the following steps, so please join us at My Freecycle.org.
To join, if you are not already a member of MyFreecycle you will need to go to ...... my.freecycle.org
and create a user account for Freecycle.org Groups. You may use your Yahoo group ID and email if you wish.
1. Enter your desired User ID
2. Enter your desired email address
3. On the next line, please create a password that is easy for you to remember
4. Enter the password again to confirm accuracy
5. then enter the two re-captcha words to verify that you are not a robot
6. be sure to toggle the terms of use box on the right before clicking the Sign Up button
7. Once you click the Sign Up button you will be a member of Freecycle.org Groups, and now will need to add a local group to your membership
8. Next, click on the MYGROUPS tab and enter into the search box the name Singapore, then click search
9. on the next page, click on JOIN this group on the far right of the group name, not go to group page, but JOIN this group
10. You will now be a member of Freecycle.org Groups and also the local group of your choice - Go to the 'My Freecycle.org' tab and everything you'll ever need to manage your account is in there. You can bookmark the page
11. You can join up to 8 My Freecycle.org groups with your one membership.
If you do not join a group, you will not be able to post or view other members posts. To join a group, click on MY GROUPS and search for a group and then click on JOIN THIS GROUP.
