This is a 7 key xylophone, also known as a "Balafon", made in Ghana. It is about 17" by 13" by 11" high. Each key has a gourd resonator hanging beneath, and it's all tied together with strips of (goat?) leather. It isn't chromatically tuned, but used to sound quite good. It is missing the beaters.
