(A little bit of an obscure one this, but:) I have a (major) spare part,
almost new, for the Zanussi Dishwasher, which will fit either the DE 6744 or
DE 6744S (and perhaps others, but you d have to check). It s flattish,
about 3 feet tall and and one foot wide and it s fitted in the left hand
side of the dishwasher (controlling the distribution of the water).
This was the part that failed first (and second, and third) on our Zanussi
dishwasher: our engineer removed it, flushed it (where it had clogged up)
and put it back in. So the next time it failed, I just copied what he d
done, and we got yet another year out of it before it failed again. On that
occasion, my repair only worked for another month before it stopped again,
so I bought a new replacement part, only for something else more costly yet
(the circuit board) to fail two weeks later. So this reservoir was only
used for about ten washes: it had cost about 60 and I couldn t bear to send
it off with the rest of the machine for recycling, so I removed it. Does
anyone have this model or a compatible one?
(I think the lights flashing was the sign of this problem)
