[SimplifyMe] Brown-Sugar Glazed {Ham}

 

BROWN-SUGAR GLAZED HAM
MAKES 8 SERVINGS.

7 pound smoked bone in ham
4 cups chicken broth
1 onion, sliced
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 cup bourbon or broth
3 sprigs thyme
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tbs pepper
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Place ham in a roasting pan. In a pan, bring broth and next 7 ingredients to a boil, stir until sugar dissolves. Boil 3 min. then pour over ham. Roast 30 min. Baste ham with pan juices, tent with foil. *REDUCE heat to 325 degrees. Roast, basting with pan juices every hour until done 2 1/2 hours. Strain pan juices into a pitcher, stir in lemon juice. Slice ham. SERVE with pan juices & ENJOY...
