BURGERS ON NOODLE BUNS
MAKES 2 SERVINGS.
2 pkgs 3 oz each instant ramen noodles, reserve 1 flavor packet
1 egg
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbs hot sauce
1/4 tsp toasted sesame oil
3/4 pound ground beef
1/2 tbs plus 1/4 cup oil
2 slices American cheese
2 slices tomato
2 leaves lettuce
Line 4 ramekins with plastic, leaving a overhang. Cook noodles in a pot of boiling water according to package directions. Drain. In a bowl, whisk egg. Add noodles, toss. Divide noodle mixture among ramekins. Fold plastic over noodles, press to compact. Refrigerate 1 hour. *In a bowl, whisk mayo, hot sauce, and sesame oil. In another bowl, combine beef, and flavor packet. Form beef into 2 patties. In a skillet, heat 1/2 tbs oil. Add patties, cook until done. Top each patty with a cheese slice, cook until cheese melts. Transfer patties to a plate. *Add remaining oil, heat. Unwrap noodle buns, cook until browned and crisp. Build burgers using noodle buns, patties, tomatoes, lettuce, and hot sauce mayo.
