ORANGE GREEN-COOKIES
MAKES 3 DOZEN COOKIES.
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 pound powdered sugar
2 tbs light corn syrup
2 tbs milk
1/8 tsp salt
Green and orange food colorings
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and salt. In bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake 15 min. or until golden. Let cool. *In bowl, beat powdered sugar, corn syrup, milk and salt until smooth. Tint half the icing green and the other half of icing orange. Spread half of a cookie with green icing and other half of that cookie with orange icing. Frost all cookies so they all have 2 colors on them. Let set 30 min. SERVE & ENJOY...
