[SimplifyMe] Gluten Free (Blondies)

 

GLUTEN FREE BLONDIES
MAKES 8 SERVINGS.

3 oz dark chocolate, chopped
1/4 cup applesauce
4 tbs unsalted butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 cups gluten free flour blend
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Coat an 8" square baking dish with cooking spray. Grind 1/2 cup almonds. Add flour, baking powder and salt, blend. Transfer to a bowl. Add brown sugar, butter, eggs, applesauce and almond extract, mix until smooth. Add sugar mixture to flour mixture, stir until blended. Stir in chocolate and remaining almonds. Scrape batter into pan, bake until lightly browned 35 min. Let cool before cutting into squares, then SERVE...
