For 5 years now I have not purchased anything for our home which wasn't made in Canada . I decided when we started renovations that it was going to be Canadian only and I have tried to stick to that. I only replaced what needed to be replaced. I didn't go through the whole house and throw good items away but when it needed replacing it had to be with Canadian only and I have to say some items are difficult to find made in my own country.  I depresses me how much our own local items we actually have for sale. I guess the cheaper made items from other countries have more pull because they are cheaper. I wonder how many people truly understand that cheap isn't always better , it rarely is better ..its just cheap !!
