Thanks everyone. I will try the peroxide mixture. Our washer is brand new so I can't imagine that it would be a problem with it. THis washer has never had commercial laundry products in it. And I will try to get him to use the vinegar. Now that he sees that it doesn't make the dishes smell bad maybe he will use it for the clothes.
