[SimplifyMe] Slow Cooker Sausage---w/ Veggies

 

SAUSAGE, PEPPERS, ONIONS & GARLICKY TOMATOES          Makes 4 servings.

1 oz shaved Asiago cheese or any type of cheese will work
1 pound Italian sausage links, halved crosswise
1 bell pepper, any color, sliced 1/2" thick
4 cloves garlic, chopped
Pepper
4 thick slices country or French bread, toasted
1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
1 onion, sliced 1/2" thick
28 oz can diced tomatoes, drained

In a slow cooker, combine tomatoes, garlic, onion, bell pepper and wine. Nestle sausage among vegetables and cook covered until sausage is cooked through, on low 8 hours or on high 5 hours. SERVE sausage and vegetables over toast, sprinkle with pepper and top with cheese...
