[SimplifyMe] Fruity Mousse (Cake)

 

FRUITY MOUSSE CAKE
MAKES 8 SERVINGS.

1 pink rose
Sixty six 1" unfilled pink French macaroons
2 cups raspberries
2.4 oz pkg strawberry mousse mix
2 cups whipped topping
16 oz pkg vanilla frosting
3/4 cup milk
1 box strawberry cake mix

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two round cake pans. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Divide batter between pans. Bake 22 min. or until done. Let cakes cool in pans 10 min. Invert cakes, cool completely. Prepare mousse mix according to package directions, using milk. Fold 1 cup raspberries into mousse. Place first cake layer on platter. Spread with mousse mixture. Add second cake layer. Chill until firm. Coat sides and top of cake with frosting. Arrange macaroons in rows on sides of cake. Spoon whipped topping into pastry bag fitted with plain round tip. Pipe dots between macaroons and over top of cake to cover. Top cake with remaining raspberries and rose petals, then SERVE...
