[SimplifyMe] Re: Buying USA

Ok, I did it. I just got back from the grocery and the only thing I bought that was not made in the US was Legos (my husband is from East Germany and my son is addicted to Legos--if I don't buy Legos I would have to go into exile). I didn't spend but maybe $2 more for the whole cart. I had to buy brand name brown mustard because I couldn't find the country of origin on the plain label kind, and same with the strawberry jam. And I had a heck of a time finding fish that was from the US, but I found some. Thanks to the group members who challenged me!

I find that when I see the 'made in China' label I am absolutely turned off to whatever it is that I wanted to buy. This morning I picked up some rawhide chews for my dog and checked the label. It said that it may contain parts from Brazil or Mexico. Hmm. Is the unofficial stance that we are aiming for products from North or South America only? If so, then she'll get her treats! Thanks again to the instigator of this great idea!
