[SimplifyMe] Lowfat Bean (Burgers)---w/ Toppings

 

BEEF AND BLACK BEAN BURGER                  Makes 4 servings.

4 hamburger buns
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 cup diced onion
1 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
1 tsp chili powder
3/4 pound lean ground beef

Place beans in a bowl and mash. Add beef, onion, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper, mix to combine. Shape into 4 burgers and grill, broil or pan fry until thoroughly cooked. Place burgers on buns. Garnish the burgers with your favorite chunky style salsa, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, if desired, then SERVE.
